Restrictor Specification
Each standard assembly consists of a plastic, brass or stainless steel bush and synthetic sapphire orifice plate. An assembly is uniquely identified by a type letter and a number representing the diameter of the orifice in hundredths of a millimetre. See Standard Bush Types and Orifice Diameters for details of the configurations available.
As an example, S-7 is a type S bush with an orifice plate having a 0.07mm diameter hole.
The brass versions, types S, L and P, are stamped with the type number in 1mm numerals. The type A bush is made from Nylon 6 and is designed to press fit into a 0.125" dia hole (3.1mm).
Maximum pressure 10 bar or 150 psig depending on the housing, but higher pressure ratings are available.
